Compliant Condition
These are examples of storm drains screens that are properly maintained. The screens are free of debris and other contaminants allowing stormwater to properly flow into the storm sewer system.
Non-Compliant Condition
Debris and other trash trapped in storm drain screens at Industrial Sites can prevent stormwater from properly draining into the sewer system which can lead to localize flooding. In addition the debris and trash may contain contaminates that ultimately enter the environment through the storm sewer systems. Storm drains should be routinely inspected and, if necessary, cleaned to remove debris.
