Stormwater Detention: Stormwater Compliance Photo Comparison
Compliant Condition
The photos of the various basins shown here are intended to demonstrate various examples of stormwater detention basins and the varied titles or descriptions commonly used. The stormwater is collected in this basin and then allowed to infiltrate the ground slowly. The water is also commonly used for irrigation and landscaping (duck pond, fountain pond).
Although it is common for owners to stock these systems with fish, they are typically not designed to support fish populations. In these instances, it is not uncommon for the fish to die off.
